English Teacher (maternity cover until July 2022)

Oakbank School are looking for an ambitious, inspiring, fun and innovative English Teacher to join our strong English department.

Location: Oakbank School, Reading
Salary range: MPS
Contract term: Temporary (maternity cover until July 2022)
Full time/term time: Term time
Start date: 1 January 2022

You will be expected to: 

  • Teach English and make a positive contribution to the learning experience of the students

  • Promote students' critical thinking skills and ability to utilise English in everyday life

  • Create lesson plans, assign and correct homework

  • Motivate and manage students in the classroom

  • Be a form tutor and contribute to our strong ethos and pastoral care.
