St Mark's are looking to recruit an outstanding Teacher of Geography and Lead Practitioner (with a focus on Instructional Coaching) for a full-time post in their Geography department.

The post is to commence in September 2022. We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and outstanding Geography teacher who:

  • Will provide both excellent teaching and also support colleagues across the school through instructional coaching. The ability to model excellent classroom practice and lead CPD for others to do the same is essential to this role.

  • Will do everything possible to raise the quality of teaching and learning in Geography and ultimately across the Academy.

  • Believes in building strong relationships with our students and who is willing to go above and beyond to support them in being successful and helping them to meet their full potential. You would be expected to develop, plan and deliver highly effective learning experiences to all students across every key stage.

St Mark’s C of E Academy is a vibrant and diverse 11-18 academy situated in Mitcham in the London Borough of Merton. The school was rated Good in its most recent Ofsted inspection (November 2017) with Outstanding personal development and welfare. The Academy really does have much to celebrate.
