Chair of Trustees, Heather Dawson, has over 35 years of business experience in North America and the UK. She was a founding partner and head of board governance practice for Praesta Partners LLP, and was recently Deputy Chair of housing for the elderly charity Abbeyfield.
David Hawker has held senior positions in both local and central government after having started his career as a modern languages teacher. David is also a Trustee for Education Development Trust.
Duncan Parkes has extensive experience working with UK and Global businesses in a range of roles, including directorships, corporate banking, private equity, and leveraged finance. He now runs a successful advisory business and is a Director of the Institute for Turnaround.
Philip Wood has had a career in business and finance spanning more than 30 years. He is a qualified chartered accountant and spent 14 years in Price Waterhouse where he was a partner specialising in audit and advisory work.
Dr Angela McFarlane is a qualified teacher of secondary science, and has held senior leadership posts at a number of august institutions, including the College of Teachers and the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. She maintains an active interest in research into learning, is a committed conservationist, and a governor of the University of Middlesex.
Sal Wilson is a qualified counsellor with over 30 years’ experience in a range of roles for organisations such as Partnership for Schools and East Sussex County Council. She has worked extensively in the charitable sector through volunteering with various disadvantaged groups, and has over 16 years of board-level experience in the public, private and charitable sectors.
