CfBT Schools Trust names new Chief Executive
CfBT Schools Trust (CST) is pleased to announce the appointment of Andy Yarrow as its new Chief Executive, with effect from 13 March 2017.
Andy will join the Trust from Oasis Community Learning, where he has been a Regional Director for the London and South East Region for three and a half years. During this time, he has been responsible for primary, secondary and all-through academies, including Fresh Start and converter academies and newly established free schools.
Prior to joining Oasis in 2013, Andy was Founding Principal of Chelsea Academy and Headteacher at Hornsey School for Girls in Haringey. Both schools achieved outstanding Ofsted judgments during his tenure.
Commenting on his appointment, Andy said: “I am absolutely thrilled to have been given the opportunity to serve as the new CEO for CfBT Schools Trust. It is clear that CST is an organisation with strong values, dedicated staff, great schools and immense potential. I am looking forward to working alongside CST headteachers, staff and stakeholders to develop the Trust's vision and strategy for growth and further improvement, and am hugely excited about the journey ahead.”
CST Chair Heather Dawson said: “The Board is delighted that Andy is joining the Trust. He has an impressive track record in school improvement, and is the right person to lead CST through its next phase of development.”
John Murphy, CEO of Oasis Community Learning, said: “Over the past three and a half years, Andy has led our academies in the London and South East as our Regional Director and, as a member of our National Education Team, has had a hugely positive impact on the direction and development of Oasis Community Learning as a whole.
“We are all very grateful to Andy for his service and dedication to the staff and young people at Oasis academies, and we wish him all the very best in his exciting new role with the CfBT Schools Trust.”
