Education at CST
Teaching and learning are at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to ensuring that each of our schools develop and refine their curriculum so that it has breadth and depth, and is challenging, engaging and enriching for all pupils, whatever their starting points. The development of character, confidence and intellectual curiosity is as important to us as academic excellence.
CST recognises that every school is different. All our schools are united by a commitment to ensuring that their curriculum reflects their distinctive context. Collaborative networks of leaders and teachers across the Trust facilitate joint planning and resource development, peer review and the sharing of effective practice, so that their learners receive a consistently high-quality education.
Promoting citizenship and community
As a trust that serves richly diverse communities, we take our responsibility to promote community cohesion and to generate a respect for difference and individual rights seriously. We ensure that the positive, fundamental British values of: democracy; the rule of law; individual liberty and mutual respect for and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs will be promoted throughout school life.
All children will be encouraged to be creative, unique and open-minded and independent individuals, respectful of themselves and of others in their school, their local community and the wider world.
